Led by local guides, each tour offers a thoughtful engaging look at the island’s past – balancing history, storytelling, and ‘Ãina.

Know Before You Book
Do I need to sign a wavier?
Yes. All passengers must sign a waiver before the tour. Anyone without a signed waiver will not be allowed to board.
Are there age requirements?
All passengers must be 18+ or ages 13-17 with a parent or guardian. Children under 13 are not permitted due to content and liability considerations.
Is the tour suitable for people with mobility issues?
Unfortunately our current bus is not ADA accessible, but that should be changing in the near future. Some tours may include short walks. Please contact us if you have any specific mobility needs or questions.
What should I bring?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. We also highly recommend bringing a phone or camera and a drink container with a resealable lid.
When should I arrive?
Arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before tour is scheduled to depart in order to allow time for check in.
Where do tours depart from?
Tours depart from the Coconut Marketplace located in Kapa’a. Occasionally tours pick up near Nawiliwili harbor in Līhu’e. Please pay attention to the tour you book and select one that matches your preferred pickup location.
Is transportation included?
Transportation is included during the tour only.
Guests are responsible for getting to and from the meeting location. We do not provide pickup or drop-off from hotels, airports, cruise ports, or other locations.
Is parking available at the meeting location?
A designated parking area is available at the Coconut Marketplace. No designated parking is available near the Nawiliwili Harbor.
How long are the tours?
Tours are customarily four hours depending on traffic, weather, construction, or emergencies. Because of these unpredictable occurrence, please be prepared for the tour to take up to five and a half hours.
How do I book a tour?
Reservations can be made online, over the phone, or in person. For online reservations select your date and time to view the availability and secure your spot. The book now button is perfect right there!
How many people are on each tour?
Regular tours can accommodate up to 20 guests. Private tours are fully customizable and can accommodate up to 23 guests.
Can I book a private tour
Yes. Private tours are available and can be customized. Contact us or select “Private Tour” when booking.
Is the tour scary?
No. Tours focus on storytelling and history. While stories involve real crimes, they are not designed to be overly graphic or frightening.
Are we allowed to go in the water?
No. We don’t allow anyone in the water for liability reasons, time constraints, as well not wanting slippery floors on the bus.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine. If it rains we provide clear umbrellas in order to give you the best chance of getting those beautiful photos even in the rain, and to keep you dry of course. In the event of severe weather or an emergency, we will issue a refund or allow you to reschedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance for a full refund. See full rules for details.
